What is Connotea Explorer and how can I use it ?

Connotea is a free online reference management service. It allows you to save links to all your favourite articles, references, websites and other online resources with one click. Connotea is also a social bookmarking tool, so you can view other people's collections to discover new, interesting content. Connotea explorer is a java web start application exploring the database using a treemap algorithm to display the data

"Connotea Explorer" now uses RSS feeds instead of the RIS export file as the source of data.
Boolean queries are now supported
Users are now displayed
Tag can be selected using the two sliders at the top of the window
limit number of items fetched from connotea can be specified

The exploration is started either by browsing a connotea user or a tag. Each Tag is then displayed in a panel which dimension is proportional to the tag usage. The list of the papers/references is showed on the right side of the screen

Clicking on a tag highlights its linked tag and its papers

Double Clicking on a tag starts the exploration of this tag

Double Clicking on a user starts the exploration of this user

geotagged tag are displayed on a world map (experimental)
